Prepare for Your Eye Care Visit
A little preparation helps your appointment go smoothly and makes sure we can answer every question. When you reach out to plan a visit, it helps to have the following ready:
- Your current glasses and contact lenses, including the lens box or prescription
- A list of medications and any eye drops you use
- Vision insurance information, if you have it
- Notes on symptoms such as blurry vision, headaches, or dry eyes
- Sunglasses for the ride home in case your eyes are dilated
- Questions about glasses, contacts, or eye health
When an Eye Problem Cannot Wait
Sudden vision loss, a curtain over your vision, a burst of new floaters or flashes, a chemical splash, or an eye injury need immediate care. For a serious emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
